2021 BBC Audio Drama Awards

We were over the moon to win TWO awards at the 2021 BBC Audio Drama Awards: “Best Sound” and “Year of Innovation”

Best Sound Award for The Grey Man and Other Lost Legends

Written by Sebastian Baczkiewicz. Sound Design by Steve Bond. Produced by Joby Waldman.

The judges said….. “This science fiction set in a post-climate-apocalyptic world used sound hugely imaginatively to create its sense of both reality and surreal super-reality. It was incredibly atmospheric with suitably ethereal music and we could feel the weather and the landscape through the sound of this drama. It pulled us in and really made us believe we were on the mountain side, in the grip of its cold, howling winds.”

Year of Innovation Award for Lockdown Theatre Festival

When theatres closed in May 2020 we reimagined four stage plays for radio, reuniting the creative teams and cast for remote recordings.

The judges said: “The winner of this award, for the sheer scale of its technical achievement, storytelling, and performances, undertaken in a breathtakingly short amount of time, is the Lockdown Theatre Festival. As theatres closed due to the pandemic this feat, on so many levels, feels even more relevant than ever.”

Many thanks to Producers Jeremy Mortimer, Steve Bond and Jack Howson, plus Executive Producers Bertie Carvel and Joby Waldman plus the amazing creative teams and casts.
